SmartEQ is an expanding veterinary practice with a focus on equine sports medicine and reproduction. We are experienced professionals who take pride in practicing the highest quality and most up-to-date veterinary medicine and surgery, and in bringing hospital-level care to our clients’ own barns. Based in Saratoga Springs, NY, we serve clients and their horses within a radius of a few hours drive.

We also provide consulting veterinarian services to clients throughout the US and abroad.  Rod travels to South America, Europe and the Middle East upon request, providing his expertise in vetting horses for sale as well as diagnosis and treatment of poor performance issues.

We maintain friendly professional relationships with other local veterinarians and regional referral practices, and are well-respected among our clients and professional colleagues.  We also collaborate with universities and biotech to investigate new treatments.
